Hopefully they'll finally release US-spec options for the i8 as well.

That would be nice. I'm getting excited for the M235i as well. In fact, it has gained a place on my list of potential cars to buy. I'd think about an i8, but I doubt I'll be able to afford one any time soon.

This is the first time I've seen the i8. Must have been asleep.
Holy shit!

BMW's also severely restricting supply so it would be hard to find an i8 anyway. Most dealers aren't even getting one, which I've been told is due to how much longer it takes to make the electric motor and battery packs, yields are low and a lot of their EV component production capacity is going to the i3. Dealer said they might be looking at 250 or less for the 2015 model year. I managed to be first on the list at my dealer, hence my desire to finally get the options list so I can start the countdown to Feb/March when they're supposed to hit. The laser headlights and carbon fiber wheels are no-goes due to ancient US DOT regs. Things like HUD, surround cameras, H/K sound, etc are the short list of definites.
